FASTS OF RAMADAN IS OBLIGATORY ON ALL MUSLIMS

Whole month fast of the month of Holy Ramadan is obligatory for all Muslims and after Ramadan Eid day comes. Eid ul-Fitr is the most important celebration in the Islam. Eid-ul-Fitr does not mark any Islamic historical event; but it exists to provide the Muslim for an opportunity to say thanks to ALLAH Almighty for giving us the strength and the will to observe fast and complete all fasts during Ramadan and perform umrah in Ramadan by any authorized Hajj and Umrah travel agent providing Ramadan Umrah Packages in London UK.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a day of bonding, joy, helping one another and spreading happiness and giving gifts to each other. However, the actual purpose of Eid is much deeper than mere relaxation and celebrations. In religion Islam, after the month long fasting and as also at the end of the pilgrimage Hajj the human soul returns to its pristine state of purity and cleanliness. In Islam there are two major festival and celebration that are Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha.

Eid is an occasion that starts with Eid Namaz, when all Muslims gather in large congregations of Eid Namaz, standing shoulder to shoulder and they demonstrate the equality, brotherhood and equity which are the inherent feature of religion Islam and Islamic society all over the world. The greatest significance of Eid day of rejoicing lies in the fact that on Eid every Muslim meets with each other and enjoined to help poor by giving the needy food at the rate of the prescribed by Islam according to the weight per member of his household.

Eid ul-Fitr serves three main purpose: It is a duty upon every Muslim to remember ALLAH Almighty and offer Him thanks; it gives him an opportunity of spiritual change in that he can now will be able to overcome the strength of his will and the weakness of his character; it also a day for the rich and the well off members of society to share a portion of what they have. Every Muslim realizes the spiritual, scientific, social and health and medical benefits which are derived from fasting.

Month of Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar, is the time period when Muslim is subject to a supreme test. The Muslims throughout the whole world obey command of ALLAH Almighty; and every day from dawn (Fajr) to sunset (Maghrib) abstain themselves not only from sensual pleasures but even from the basic necessities of daily life like drink and food.

Some fasts in shivering cold, some fasts in burning and scorching heat, some fasts where days are very short and others fasts where days are interminably long. Every Muslim has to fast because it is obligatory act to do in Islam, The rich one fast as well as the poor person, the master and the servant; the parents and their child, all fast, regardless of the colour, cast, region or their social position.

MAKKAH AND MADINA, CITIES THAT UNITE PEOPLE TOGETHER

“Here I am at your service O ALLAH; Here I am at your service”

Pilgrims chanted louder and louder as we moved closer to the object of our desire. A response to an ancient call, an Ibrahamic tradition. Millions of people have been frequenting the Haramain (shelter) for centuries. People come from far and near to worship and have their prayers heard. There's not a tribe, city, country or state that isn't represented in the holy lands. Many Different people with different skin colours eat different foods, talk in different languages, and wear different clothing and practice different social customs all gathered in one place to worship and celebrate peace, unity and brotherhood. The beauty of it, as different as they all are, when the Muazzin raises the call to namaz (prayer), every individual from every state stops whatever they are doing and responds to His call, faces the Holy Kaaba and engages in prayer.

Makkah and Madina both have their own flavours. The fast paced city feel of Makkah is rivalled by the laid back leisure of Madina. Both cities embody a personality which we can feel in your body and in the air. Both are complimentary to each another, each in ideal harmony, yet bear different fruits. Makkah will magnify your deeds 100,000 times, whereas Madina connects you to the greatest being the globe has ever known. Both make you feel secure, privileged, humbled and honoured.

Life can be trying, it can consider a person through a series of many negative experiences and trials that can show to be challenging on the highest level. A trip to the Haramain can afford you the opportunity to reset, rearrange, gain perspective, have a vision or discover a path. All the worries and troubles of the world can be washed away with the blessed water of Zamzam water or with a simple sajda (prostration). A person can reach real euphoria, simply by sitting still and looking at the Holy Kabah or sending Durood upon the Prophet (PBUH).

Verse 9:129 of Holy Quran;

But if they turn away, [O Muhammad], say, "Sufficient for me is ALLAH; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne."

This is a place where no one walks away empty-handed. This is a place where kindred souls meet and the not possible is shown to be made possible. This is a place where Tawaaf (Circumambulation) is constant and sujood is the norm. Ask for whatever you desire, whatever your heart wishes. As much as a journey to the Haram is an opportunity to reset, gain clearness and find reason, it can and must also be a launching pad for executing huge deeds and benefit to society at large. We should connect with our religious self and history and ask the ALLAH Almighty to use us to enjoin superior and spread light.

FIRST PILLAR OF ISLAM; SHAHADAT

All practicing Muslims accept faith in the ‘6 Articles of Faith’ and are obliged to follow the ‘5 Pillars.’ They are:

1. Muslim profession of belief or shahadat.

2. Ritual Prayer or namaz.

3. Obligatory Charity or zakat.

4. Fasting or roza.

5. Annual Pilgrimage or hajj.

Muslim Profession of Faith or Shahadat The Shahadat is the Muslim profession of belief and the primary of the ‘Five Pillars’ of Islam. The word shahadat in Arabic means ‘testimony.’ The shahadat is to testify to two things:

(a) Nothing deserves worship except ALLAH Almighty.

(b) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the Messenger of ALLAH Almighty.

A Muslim is the one who bears witness and testifies that "nothing deserves worship except ALLAH Almighty and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the messenger of ALLAH Almighty." A person becomes a Muslim by making this easy declaration.

It should be recited by every Muslim with a complete understanding of its meaning and with an agreement of the heart. Muslims utter this when they wake up in the morning, and before they go to sleep at night. It is repeated 5 times in the call to prayer in every masjid. A person who utters the shahadat as their last words in this life has been promised jannat.

(a) Nothing deserves worship except ALLAH Almighty.

The initial part of this testimony states that ALLAH Almighty has the exclusive right to be worshipped, by one’s heart and limbs. In Islamic principle, no one be worshipped apart from Him, no one else can be worshipped along with Him. He has no partners or associates. Worship, in its complete sense and all its aspects, is for Him alone. A person becomes Muslim by agreeing and testifying to the divine right to worship. It is the root of Islamic belief in ALLAH Almighty, even all of Islam. It is considered the essential message of all prophets and messengers sent by ALLAH Almighty.

But by a simple verbal profession alone, one does not become an absolute Muslim. To become a complete Muslim a person has to fully carry out in practice the instruction given by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as ordained by ALLAH Almighty. This brings to the second part of the testimony.

(b) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the Messenger of ALLAH Almighty

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah in Arabia in the year 570 CE. The second part of the confession of belief asserts that He is not only a prophet but also a messenger of ALLAH Almighty. Like all the prophets before him, He was a human being, but chosen byALLAH Almighty to convey His message to all humankind rather than one nation or tribe from among the many that exist. For Muslims, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) brought the last and final revelation.
